Celebrity Heads

I don't usually do celebrity portraits and truth be told I do not like doing celebrity portraits. However, this was for a class. It was an ink experimentation so it was whatever you want to do with any form of ink for celebrity heads. I did a few of Matisyahu, Bob Marley, Cher, and Natalie Portman. Using ink, markers, pens, and even ballpoint pen on either bristol or watercolour paper. It was surprisingly fun because I was able to discover a lot of interesting and different uses/ways to use ink.

"Perfectionism is the voice of the oppressor, the enemy of the people. It will keep you cramped and insane your whole life, and it is the main obstacle between you and your work" -Anne Lamott

My artwork is not intended to be perfect, it is not intended to be clean and it is not always intended to be beautiful. The work on this blog is purely experimental, it's made to let me learn and grow and constantly change the way that I work.
